Dear Morgan and Joe,
It was an honor to work your camp this past week and I thank you for that opportunity.  I really enjoyed working with the kids in the
Big East, it was very satisfying to see the kids progress in just one week which is a testament to your teaching the fine details of basketball.

As I was driving home to Reading PA, last night, I purposely didn't ask my two kids and their two friends if they wanted to come back next year, I wanted see what they would say on their own. Within an hour, they were asking me if we are going to do the camp again next year.  Needless to say, I'm already looking forward to camp next year.

Lastly, I want to thank you both for using the platform of basketball to teach the lessons of life to these young impressionable boys.  This is the most important thing that you do!  It is immeasurable.  From a father and a coach, I thank you!

Yours in hoops,
 Mike Kerkeslager

I was lucky enough to have the chance to coach at coach Wootten's basketball camp this past summer. I have to say it was the biggest and best choose I have made in my coaching career. Right from day one their was a good atmosphere and banter in the camp between the players and all the coaches. The lectures were very well organized and their was so much learning to be taken from Coaches Joe and Morgan's excellent demonstrations of many vital skills. The round table after dinner time was a experience not to be missed and I took down plenty of notes which have came in very handy this season. I can only say to any young coach or any young player who wants to learn from the best and really work hard to get the most out of their game camp Wootten's can not be missed. I can only say thank you to everyone of the staff of camp for being so nice and being treated so well during my two week stay. It is a trip I will hope to make several more times in the future.

Coach Wootten and Staff,
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work the girl’s session this year.  Your staff far exceeded my already lofty expectations.  The camp ran smooth from the 6:00AM voluntary stations through the 9:00PM voluntary stations.  Every fundamental was taught with enthusiasm and demonstrated in a way every camper and coach could understand. Your leaders truly led by example!  I have spent the last 15 years teaching at a highly regarded Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy and rank your academy right with it.  Keep up the great work, and would be honored to be invited back for next year’s sessions.

Thanks again

Terri,
I just wanted to take a minute to say thanks and happy 4th!  You and your family are genuine and wonderful people.  Thank you for all you do for those kids.  Morgan said it best, ‘based on those campers,  America is going to be in fine shape for years to come.’
I feel so blessed to have been included in such a group of knowledgeable teachers and people of great character (some of whom are also “Characters”.

I’ll see you folks in October.  I have a few coaches I am bringing with me to Fairfax/Arlington for the coaches clinic.

Regards,
Bill Watkins

(Big East- Notre Dame) Week 1

Coach Wootten (Morgan and Joe),

Please allow me this opportunity to personally thank each of you and all of your staff for a very rewarding week.  I thoroughly enjoyed my coaching experience in the SEC under Bill.

My son (Spencer)  and I learned a great deal and was very motivated upon our return.  Actually, the three other boys from my Travel team (Greg Harris and Adam Fatz) couldn't wait to get back into the gym and practice all their fundamentals that they learned. They played in the PAC-10.

Peronally, your camp was a blessing for me, as I desperately needed to get away from my work at Prince William Hospital and concentrate soley on basketball.

I especially enjoyed all the 12:20pm coaching sessions.  I was in star struck by listening to the inspirational stories by both Morgan and Joe.

I just completed reading your book Orphans to Champions and was very moved.
I am going to make the book mandatory for all of my players this Fall.

I hope you allow me to coach again next summer as it will be a priviledge.

I'm looking forward to seeing Coach Wootten again at the HOF Enshrinement ceremonies this September.

By the way, Spencer and I loved the Defensive video he won.

Thank you again for a very rewarding summer experience.

Sincerely,
Mitch Kalman

To: Coach Wootten, Joe and Terri,

Thank you so much for a great week.  This was my first time coaching at your camp and it was fantastic.  My commissioner, Dennis did a great job helping and supporting me, and the other veterans were always willing to talk basketball philosophy.  I especially enjoyed the round table sessions.  They gave me some great ideas on how to improve my program back home.  The kids were great and I enjoyed passing on the information given during the fundamental sessions.  I will definitely be back next year and after telling my daughter about the camp she also wants to attend the girl's camp.  Have a great season and I will see you in Oct. at the DC clinic.

Dear Morgan and Joe Wootten,

Thank you for the opportunity to work your camp for a 2nd summer.  Your professionalism and leadership really inspired me to do the best job I could. I really enjoyed the 6am fundamental station,  mentoring and teaching the campers, and forming relationships with the coaches.  I look forward to applying what I learned at camp to my 8th grade team this season.  I also look forward to coming back next summer and doing it all over again.

Sincerely,

I have waited way to long to write and thank you for the experience I had this summer working at your basketball camps.  I rank it very high on a short list of most influential experiences in my life.  It has not only improved me as a teacher/coach, but as a person too.  Coach, your goal for the players coming to the camp was for each of them to love basketball even more than before.  On top of the unbelievable amount of knowledge I learned, I left with a renewed enthusiasm for learning and teaching the game and have become more focused on what it is going to take me to reach my goals.  I owe that to the way you work, teach and nurture young coaches like myself and because of your passion for the game.  Thank you again for this opportunity.

I want to thank you for another great week of camp.  Last year was my son’s first time to attend.  What a difference one year makes!  Sam had a great experience this year and LOVED his coach.  Let Rockwell Moody know that he is a great influence for young kids and they truly look up to him (literally!) I also want to say thanks for all the great information you gave to us as coaches.  I will definitely use the illustration bout all the offensive players hugging the defensive player they want guarding them.  W are looking forward to next year.  My daughter is now excited knowing that she will come to the first week.  May you continue to be blessed with much success.

Coach and dad of 10 year old. . . Lancaster, Ohio

My team just won their first JV championship in 31 years and completed an undefeated season. The first in school history. The whole time I coached this season I relied on everything I learned at Morgan Wooten Basketball Camp. From the fundamentals of the game to motivating players, everything I did this season was based off the principles I learned at your outstanding camp. I recommend this camp to every player, coach and anyone who loves the game. Thanks for everything.
