Hello,

I just had one of the best weeks of my life. I attended Coach Wootten's Basketball Camp 2009 (Girl's Week) and had so much fun. My coach was amazing. My teammates were great. The fundamentals were fantastic and everyone was so helpful.

This was my fourth year at this camp. This year I was in the Big East on Cincinnati. My coach Stu Wilson was extremely helpful but always kept the entire team laughing. The other coaches in the league and in others were extremely kind and were always able to help. I learned so much and cannot wait to go back to school and use what I've learned.

I think I'm going to go play a little but thank you so much for the most amazing week ever.

Thank you.

Hey my name is josh and i attended your camp last year. I am also attending your camp next week and the other 2 weeks after that. I just wanted to say that my week at your camp was the best experience of my life and i would have been at the camp this week had it not been for school. Your coaches were very nice and i got help whenever i wanted. My ankles had become cut up and bloody from my shoes and the trainers helped me every morning and whenever i needed re-bandaging. My experience was amazing and wish i could do it every week of the year. My game had greatly improved through working on the skills i learned. I made a large number of friends and hope to see them again this year. Thank you again, and i can't wait to come again.

Dear Coach Wootten,
Thank you for allowing me to attend your camp. That camp was great and so were the coaches. You didn't just gives us moves to figure out by ourselves you made sure they were done perfectly. I loved the guest speakers and speeches they gave. Jab series and triple threat position worked best for me. Once again I thank you for your time to allow me to attend your camp and I'm looking forward to come back next year.                                                                                             Sincerly, Jeffrey Barbee

Dear Coach Wootten,

Thank you Coach Wootten for taking time off from your summer to teach me the fundamentals and everything else. The guest speakers taught me alot about the game of basketball. When I went home somebody that always beat me in basketball, I ended up beating him this time using the things I learned. I will use the packet that was given and I know if I follow the packet perfectly by the next time I come to your camp I will be great. Thanks once again for everything you've done. Be sure to tell Coach Stu that James said hi.
Sincerely,
James Coles

Hello,
My name is Emory Parker and your camp helped me a lot.  It helped me with my triple threat moves and the off the dribble moves.  Also, it made feel more confident about my game and it will help me get more playing time on my travel and AAU teams.  Thank you for teaching me and I look forward to coming back next year.  Also, the coaches were great and they helped me learn and have fun while learning.

Gratefully,
Emory Parker

I have been to other basketball camps and this one is the best by far!  They taught me the fundamentals.  They didn’t just show me, or describe it, they worked with me until I got it. I can’t believe how much better I got in just one week!

The staff is just different at Coach Woottens.  They really work with you.  They are always with you, teaching, motivating and encouraging you to get better.

You may know me; my name is Tayvon Jackson and I went to your camp on the second week.  I was the boy that was 6’4” and came to your house.  I just had a game this Tuesday, on June 8.  You wouldn’t believe how that camp helped me.  I had the best game of my life.  I only had 4 points but I contributed in so many ways. For instance I had 7 blocks, 8 assists and 9 rebounds.  My defense has also improved.  I used to be scared to check the smaller players because I thought they would go right by me.  But now I was all up on them and making steals.  I used to play center but I got a chance to bring the ball down the court and show them that I could do more than just block shots.  We beat McNamara 35 to 30.  If you remember I play for Lackey High School in Charles County.  I just wrote to tell you how I appreciate you taking time away from your family to help us become better in basketball and in life.  THANKS COACH!

An important aspect of the game is fundamentals and this camp taught me them!  I am a much better basketball player after this camp.  Not only did I make my high school team, but they use me to demonstrate all the fundamentals!!

Coach Wootten,
I am saying once again for the staff at camp that this camp was one of the best experiences of my life.  I learned more about basketball in my two weeks there than i did all my life before, and life lessons.  Thank you for the great time.
